Helping people is our mission and our passion.  We help people in a variety of ways through our many service projects like:

Health projects.

For example, we are a major supporter of the “Gift of Life” program that brings children with life threatening heart defects to cardiac medical centers where they receive the necessary lifesaving surgery.

Education Projects.

We offer three (3) endowed scholarships each year to help High School graduates continue their education.

Local Community Contributions.

Within our local community, we support a number of valued organizations including, CROW (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife), SCCF (Sanibel-Captiva Wildlife Conservation) and the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge.

Family and Children Projects.

We provide support for a number of  organizations that help children and families like the El Hogar school in Nicaragua and Shelter in Honduras which provides shelter and education for orphaned and abandoned children.

Our Partners

In addition to our Club’s projects, we also partner with other organizations and Rotary Clubs to support their programs.  Right now, we have partnered with “Miracles in Action” to support the great work they do in Guatemala selling handicrafts (jewelry and textiles) made by indigenous Mayans in the U.S.  To learn more about this, go to the Partners tab on this website, or directly to the Miracles in Action website.

Raising Money

The Club works very hard to raise money for these and other projects.  From time-to-time various products are offered for sale on this website. The profits from these sales are then used to support our many charitable projects.

You should know that all of the profits from any of the products we sell are given directly to the producer, or charity we support.  All administrative activities are performed by Club Members or paid for by Club dues.

The Club also periodically also organizes events (Shows and Concerts) to raise money.  To review the current events that are scheduled, please go to the events page.

If you are not interested in buying anything at this time, you can still help by making a Donation. Go to the Tab labelled Donations.  The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club is a 501 (C)3 corporation. In most cases contributions are tax deductible.  You should talk with your accountant.

*** Remember:  When you buy something to enjoy, you are also helping someone in need ***
